76ers coach Brett Brown took notice of Young’s performance, calling him “unique,” while Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce praised the rookie. “We rely on him a lot and he delivers a lot. I don’t know if anyone has played better basketball in their rookie season than he is or anyone else over the last couple of years,” Pierce said.”The stuff he is doing — facilitating, he has played in every single game and he has performed. He has been our go-to guy down the stretch. I just think there is a lot to be said about our growth as a team and how we’ve progressed and teams we’ve beat and how we’ve played as the season has gone on and he’s been a major part of that.”Young was selected by the Mavericks No. 5 overall out of the 2018 draft, but was then traded to Atlanta in exchange for the No. 3 pick and a 2019 first-round pick. Young is averaging 18.7 points and has had five games with at least 30 points and 10 assists. MASON CITY — It’s a suspended prison sentence and probation for a Mason City woman who was accused of stealing a credit card and charging over $1000 at numerous stores. 46-year-old Angela Shave was originally charged with ongoing criminal conduct and unauthorized use of a credit card. A criminal complaint says Shave allegedly stole the credit card and made over 30 transactions at multiple convenience stores, grocery stores and online stores between October 24th and November 1st of last year totaling $1164. Shave was allegedly seen on closed circuit television security cameras at multiple stores making those transactions and forging signatures. As part of a plea agreement, Shave agreed to plead guilty to the unauthorized use of a credit card charge with the ongoing criminal conduct charge being dropped. District Judge Colleen Weiland this week sentenced Shave to a suspended five year prison sentence and placed her on three to five years probation.
